Your Green Dot card must be successfully activated between 11/20/20 and 4/30/21. Your federal or state tax refund and two payroll or government benefits direct deposits, each in the amount of $500 or more, must post to your account by 6/30/21 to qualify for the credit. A one-time $15 credit will be applied to your Green Dot account by the 10th business day of the month following your second qualifying deposit. One $15 credit per customer. Excludes cards acquired through a Tax Preparer’s office.

Get your routing and account numbers. There are a few ways:

Log in to your account and click on ASAP Direct Deposit to see the information or have it emailed to you. Text "DDinfo" to 37267.

Use your routing and account numbers to fill out your tax form.

Mark “Checking” on your tax form.
Make sure the name on your tax form matches the name on your Green Dot card.

File your return.

Green Dot does not receive information on the status of your refund. For the status of your federal tax refund, call the IRS Refund Hotline (800) 829-1954 or visit www.irs.gov. For the status of your state tax refund, visit
www.irs.gov/tax-professionals/government-sites.

Stay in the know.

Log in to set up Account Alerts for deposits made to your account. We'll send you a text or email when your refund is deposited to your account.

As such, the availability or timing of early direct deposit may vary from pay period to pay period. Make sure the name and social security number on file with your employer or benefits provider matches what’s on your Green Dot account exactly. We will not be able to deposit your payment if we are unable to match recipients.
